«The Brocken Railway (German: Brockenbahn) is one of three tourist metre gauge railways which together with the Harz Railway and Selke Valley Railway form the Harz Narrow Gauge Railways railway network in the Harz mountain range of Germany.
It runs from the station of Drei Annen Hohne at 542 m (1,778 ft), where it joins the Harz Railway, via Schierke and the Bode River valley to the summit of the Brocken, the highest mountain of the Harz at 1,141 m (3,743 ft) and part of the Harz National Park.

This is a 3D photo, just cross your eyes until two of the four photos overlap.

A steam engine in stereo... what a win-win combination. Is this done using two vameras with synchronised shiutters, or a purpose built stereo camera? Mine are done with a single camera using the 'shoot, sideways shuffle and shoot again' method.

I use 2 Canon EOS 550Ds released with (inexpensive) Yongnuo radio remote triggers. The synch seems perfect so far.

Such luxury! I use ONE 550D and have to shoot twice and re-aim the camera between shots and try to do it all quickly enough so that nothing moves between shots. I've got it done to as little as two third of a second or so. If the shots were taken at different heights I shift the second frame up or down and crop off the white gap.

Try to summarize the time you require for finding static or slowly changing scenes, figuring out which shots fit best and eventually clone stamping out differences.
You might find the investment worth a 2nd 550D. The kit lens does the job for me and the radio remote triggers (1 sender, 2 separate receivers) are €60 only. You will wake up with a completely new approach to stereoscopy, believe me!

ouldn't carry all that gear around Kew Gardens and still take over a thousand photos in an afternoon. Last Sunday I took the single camera into Croytdon town centre because I was buying urgently required art materials for my daughter. There was no time to do anything elaborate but I took three pairs like this [link] while waiting for a bus in Katherine St. There were three differences to be 'cloned' out in this pair. See if you can spot them.

I don't have to spot the differences, they jump at me.
You can mount both cameras on a bar, so they can be handled as one camera only.
